DeadmeatPete
I recently bought, what I believe is a L-30 sunburst, at least what the seller’s descripition told me. I understand from what I’ve read online that the L-30 and L-37 are nearly identical. There’s no label inside the body or serial number on the back of the headstock, but there’s a stamp with 3 numbers followed by a letter ***F. And from what I’ve read is the F and FA-labeled guitars made in 1940. Hope to find out which model and what year. Thank you helpy helpers! j45nick
There's not a lot of analysis we can do without photos, but this website has a reasonably detailed history of Gibson archtops: Gibson archtops
