Need nut for explorer ?

Recommended Posts

Most Gibsons have 12" radius fretboards and 1.695" nut width. So any nuts with that specs should do the job. If you try StewMac or AllParts, they divide their nut on Strat style and Gibson style guitars. Some of them are already shaped and slotted, others just need slotting, but that's nothing a tech at a guitar store can't do (or even you can do it if you have nut files). As I don't know what specs your Explorer has, I suggest emailing Gibson and asking about the nut width and the fretboard radius and then proceed to buying a nut. Hope I could be of help!
