lowering the action on my Masterbilt deluxe with a floating bridge

If it’s just a minor lowering of the action, I don’t think you’ll have any problem with the intonation.  A major change, higher or lower could change the string length and thus impact the intonation, but a minor lowering change shouldn’t be  noticeable.  Worst case, on an archtop, if it does change the intonation, you can experiment with slightly moving the bridge forward or backwards to correct the string length and intonation.  I have  a recent Masterbuilt  Olympic as well as an original vintage 1936 Masterbilt Zenith and a 1965 Gibson 125TC , all archtops, and I’ve made minor changes with no intonation issues.

Let us know how it goes.
