Dirkules Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 I would like to change the stock tuning machines on my recently purchased 2004 J-45. I am looking for something that will fit without drilling new holes, and will have oval buttons like the originals, but not white. Maybe ivoroid or just cream colored, or even tortoise. Anything but white. The reason I posted is to get good advice on an excellent brand, fit and quality of the replacements. I have mostly Martin and Guild acoustics and have changed tuners on some of them. This isn't my first rodeo, but I'm not that familiar with Gibson acoustics. My goal is to have tuners that look somewhat original, or "close" to it, with much better operational (functional) quality. Quote
tx-ogre Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Welcome aboard. You might want to post your question to the Gibson Acoustics forum. You’d probably get a pretty quick reply there. Enjoy your stay. Quote
