Geff Posted March 27, 2009 Share Posted March 27, 2009 Yes, they are humbuckers. They are covered which might explain your confusion. You are expecting to see two part pickups. These would look like that if you took the cover off (But dont try to take the cover off as you will most likely damage the pickup doing it. Geff Posted March 27, 2009 Share Posted March 27, 2009 As a follow up to what I said, you might sometimes see an SG "Classic" with p90 style pickups. Those are single coil pickups but still Gibson's own brand. The only other brand you are likely to see on a new Gibson is EMG active pickups on some models but not very often.
