Buzzing issue on the Diablo Tremolo

IOMMI

Recommended Posts

Hi again. :] I took my SG Diablo Tremolo in for repairs. Original cap was broken in the process, so big sad, honest.

Anyway, I took it in for a buzzing issue. Touch metal, buzz becomes less noticeable. Tech says he doesn't think that there's a ground issue. He ran a continuity test from pot to pot to bridge, etc. I was recommended to buy new pots, a new switch, and an input jack in short.

The volume, and tone pot do crackle when you turn them as well, and they were cleaned.

Now, I really don't want to have to go replacing all of the other original parts all willy nilly, as they say, until the problem is fixed. Lol.

Isn't there an easier way to diagnose the issue? If not, I guess I'll buy everything mentioned above.

Thanks!
