Larsongs
To my knowledge most non Cutaway Gibson Acoustics have 14 frets prior to joining the body.. The J-160E has 15.. The reason probably to accommodate the P-90 between the Soundhole & the Neck.. Having the extra fret makes playing at the higher scale easier.. Particularly songs like “I Feel Fine” by The Beatles.. A song I play in one of my Bands.. I notice playing J-45’s & other Gibson Acoustics having that extra real estate on my J-160E is a plus that I like.. Are there any other Gibson Acoustics with 15 exposed frets prior to joining the Body? I haven’t found any?
