Kalamazoo Production?

I am thinking about buying an early 1970's Les Paul Deluxe (pre-1974).

From what I read, Gibson only produced guitars in Kalamazoo before 1974.

Is this true?

If not, could you please give me some way of identifying it was made in Kalamazoo.

Between 1974 and 1984 production of Gibson guitars was shifted from Kalamazoo to Nashville, Tennessee.
