Solid vs. Laminate

My laminate mahogony backed Martin OMM sounds fantastic. Although this is the best I've heard in laminate backed guitars, ( and the majority of solid wood guitars in the 0M size ) I've had a few very nice sounding Epiphones with laminates. I had a EJ-200 with all laminates that was an exceptional sounding guitar. I've been through quite a few solid wood Martins, low end and high end, and I've still got my OMM. It's that good.OMM1.jpg

My vote is for solid but I will have to pay more attention to what they all are I really have not had that hard of a look at any of mine. But now I will have to do that for sure it is a ineresting topic for sure.

This paper guitar sounds good to me...was not a few gibsons made with plastic backs I think that the top must be the main part of the sound , but I could be wrong . Thought I was wromg once ...but it turned out I was mistaken.

:D
