Andre S
I mean in terms of height on the guitar body. Since I switched to top hat knobs the pot shaft is rather high so the knob is off of the guitar body. I took off the pot washer, but it refuses to budge, because of the plate in the back, not the circuit board, the other metal plate to which all the pots are screwed into. How do I move the potentiometers with the plate there?

EVOL!
AFAIK you cannot adjust the height of the pots' stem. What kind of guitar do you have that top hat knobs do not fit all the way down, almost flush with the body? This sounds more like the knobs are not the right size. I switched from speed to top hat a long while ago.
