phildobbin
I'm considering replacing the stock 490R in my Studio with a Burstbucker 57 Classic Plus Zebra. Whilst I love the neck pup (& wouldn't consider replacing the 498T), it don't quite cut it: too rounded, jazzy, ain't enough woman tone to it. Any thoughts, experiences to share, appreciated :-)... max2343
Try a 500k pot first
BLUEBLOODRED
Then try the Burstbucker. These pick-ups are the S@#&! If they aren't hot enough for you, pop the cap's off with a screw driver. You would be amazed at the sound of these puppies without the shields on them.
phildobbin
Didn't realise that Gibson shipped their guitars with 250/300K pots. I'll drop a 500K in the neck 490R & see the difference... Thanks, guys ;-)...
