Mark Lee
I'm building a warmoth L5 guitar and I am wondering what is the best option in the Custom Body Builder part of the website for a tuneomatic bridge with an archtop style tailpiece? I dont want holes in the body where a stop tailpiece goes so I am unsure which one I need to select. any help would be appreciated.
lowb5str
Look for the type used on semi-acoustics like the Byrdland or L5CES, which anchor at the tailpin area and hinge over. Get hints from Stew-Mac repair parts, or other places like Carvin, if you like.
Mark Lee
Thanks for the info. The body will be the most expensive part for my guitar (I'm building it with a budget of AU$ 600) so I don't want to select the wrong type of Tune-OMatic in the bridge option area and end up with two holes where the Stop bar goes on a regular solid body. BTW Ive never seen a blonde Les Paul Custom like the one in your avatar. It's very pretty (like a lot of blondes).
