Hi.

newbie here.....i'm looking at a 2008 LP studio for sale and find that the toggle switch does not work in the center position for the rear pickup.

Using the center pos., only activates the front p/up. The up and down posit's work properly and activate the F and R p/ups respectively.

question is, is the problem likely to be with the switch, or the rear pickup, (which as I said, does work when the switch is in the down position)

is there an easy answer to this?

Really, no way to tell for sure without seeing it

You can eliminate the pickups because they do work (make sound)

check and/or replace the switch.
