Twiz Posted February 2, 2010 Share Posted February 2, 2010 "And now for something completely different..." A friend of mine is getting a lap steel guitar. He found a used one for a pretty good price. Anyway, he asked me if I'd like to play it from time to time in his band. I'm not anticipating having to do any smoking solos on the thing. Rather, it will be used to pretty up some of the songs he's written (he's influenced by bands like Drive By Truckers, Paw, or Drag The River). Does anybody have any experience playing a lap steel? Any pointers would be appreciated. I've dabbled with slide guitar, so I'm hoping it's similar to that. I'm pretty excited to have the chance to learn something new. Thanks.
