He is an amp tech for local stores and has been building hand wired point to point amps for years. The guy was VERY insightful on both current and vintage amps...and made the offer to bring my son over to learn and pick his brain on music...equipment...technology......very cool guy indeed. I am thinking of having him build us an amp after we visit. I think after he talks to my son and listens to him play he will offer good insight on what amp and tube compliments, etc. A 15 watt head sells locally for about $850 and "warranties every product against manufacturing defects and bad solder connections for the lifetime of everything".
