rossnuk
Hi - considering either a J-185 TV or a j150 - they are both in my price range and the local shop has both - I played the j150 along side their j200 and they both sounded different which I was surprised at because the j150 is basically a stripped down j200 (less bling) having looked at the spec on the j150 it soesnt say whether it has the AAA back and sides maple - it only states maple. Does this mean the j150 does not have the higher grade woods that the j200 has? Strange, because the price difference isnt that big between both models. george black
Not sure either. I think the resale would be better proportionally for the J200. It stands to my reasoning that they may choose the better tops for the j200.
rossnuk
yes - it would be good to know - There is a j150 antique in my shop for £1899 but there is also another j150 which is the maple natural for $1549 in another shop - I cant see any specs for these on the Gibson site to get specs. rossnuk
Thinking of j200 being the Daddy now- need to try to find a second hand one though - £2600 for a new one is ridiculous However that J-185 True Vintage in Guitar Guitar in Edinburgh is pretty damn fine but £1950!
