DWP37
Thinking of getting one of the sparkle jet Gretsch baritones. These are not tuned BEADGB like a lot of baritones. They are actually an octave lower than a guitar and an octave above a bass E to E. I'm really interested. I would imagine they should probably be played through a bass cab rather than a guitar cab. Guitar speakers probably wouldn't handle the lower frequencies would they? Anyone?
RichCI
Depends on the amp/cab but, in general, I think most guitar amps would be just fine. Some metal bands tune their guitars pretty low and some players play 7 string guitars that have a low B string.
Uncle Dave
I've been thinking of getting one of those too. Good guitar speakers should be able to handle the lower frequencies of a baritone.
