freak show Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 I personally don't have anything against signature guitars, especially when they have interesting features. The Warren Haynes model and the Page #2 are very cool. I would also love to see Neil Young's "Old Black" available. What I don't like, is when the signature is visible: Martin puts them on the fret board, which I hate, and I think Gibson's Robert Johnson model also has a visible signature on the fret board. The only problem I see with Gibson's signature models is the choice of the artists: Someone already mentioned the immortal guitar god Kiefer Sutherland and his sig. The Aaron Lewis model for 17 grand is equally absurd, and there are others one could name. IMO signature models should be tributes to important players.
