Shnate McDuanus
I guess I've been getting back into a lot of the "shred"/neo-classical music lately--listening to guys like Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Michael Romeo, Tony MacAlpine, Marty Friedman, Joe Stump, *cough*Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Angelo Batio, "He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named"*cough*. It's fun stuff. In the middle of my shred binge, I came upon a Michael Lee Firkins song ("Runaway Train," the one in the video) on Pandora. Whoa. It's hardly "typical" of the genre--a lot of interesting licks and phrases in there that just made me stop in my tracks. I hope you enjoy it.
