Bryan Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard plus. A old friend of mine found a guitar in his attic that he bought many years ago for his son and it has been there for years. I need some info as to how to get it valued for him or the best place to give it a good home.Year/value etc etc. I have pictures and serial number. Serial : 70558087 Gibson Deluxe Custom srd. Black. Custom by Demarino. Please advise year and any other information possible. I thank you very much in advance.
ksdaddy Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Well, it was made in Kalamazoo in February of 1978 but I can't tell you much more. Put some photos onto a hosting site and post the links here and I'm sure we can tell you a lot more.

ksdaddy Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 My guess is that it's a highly modified Les Paul 55/78. Here's what it would have looked like originally: I don't think there's any fair way to put a dollar value on it. When you're dealing with modified guitars, there are too many variables as to the quality of work, the quality of any replacement parts, whether the modifications resulted in a guitar that is marketable (a combination of aesthetics and utility value and highly subjective).... Sorry I couldn't be more help. If he's looking to sell it, it will simply come down to what someone is willing to pay.
