royhanks Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Can anyone tell me what the black, red and white wires map to as far as ground, hot and coil split. Actually, any information would be greatly appreciated. I have emailed Gibson about 3 times on this subject to no avail. Thanks!
L5Larry Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I believe the humbuckers in the L6-S were designed and built by Bill Lawrence. You may want to try his website. Generally accepted standard wire color code would mean white-common (ground), black-hot one coil, red-hot the other coil. Strap red and black together and you have a humbucker. Maybe these will help, right off the GIBSON website: http://www.gibson.com/Files/schematics/L6Swiring.PDF http://www.gibson.com/Files/schematics/L6-S.PDF
