Mr. Rhythm
Since this is the only Gibson amp I've played through by default or until further notice it's my all time favorite Gibson amp.
Californiaman
I love the GA-5. Nice growl for such a little amp. I totally agree. It's a growler and howler. I use mine most everyday too. Clean, this has got to be on my short list of favorites too. I own one. I've also seen other artists use them and list them in their liner notes. Gaolee
This one is my favorite since its the only one I have played. It aint pretty but it sounds pretty good. Its a mid 50's Les Paul Jr amp. The amplifier section and field coil speaker look identical to what's in my BR-9. Four tubes, two of them 6L6 for power, a rectifier tube and a preamp tube. Mine also has an output transformer, if I'm not completely screwed up in my understanding of it. The BR-9 looks like a beat up little white cathedral radio, and it sounds fantastic. It sounds best with single coils, but it sounds great all the time.

BobB
Michael Bloomfield made some great music using a Les Paul with P-90's run through an old Gibson Falcon amp.
