bigshot
I went to see Little Jimmy Dickens play last night. He's 87 years old and still going strong. His guitar looks just like mine!
Jim Bowman
Jimmy is still going strong. He is very approachable and very funny. Is always personable backstage. Jim
Rollie LeBay
I think I know why he's 87 and still going strong like that. In the picture, he looks like a man who's having a really good time. And that's the secret of longevity. Enjoying life. It's not about watching your cholesterol and stuff like that. Uncle Buck
bigshot
I think having a really nice guitar makes you live longer. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it!

ballcorner
Oh I wish it were true. With my guitars I think that would get me to at least 150. I think the best thing we can learn from Little Jimmy Dickens is that shorter men tend to live much longer than taller men, because that is statistically supported. I do agree, though, that longevity is directly linked to attitude. A person who loves what they are doing and doesn't give in to worry is probably going to outlast a micro-managing hypochondriac - even if the content person is taller.
