Read alot about others upgrading their Customs on this forum but didn't come across anything I'm about to ask in a search. The electronics in my new Custom, well..... we know about those. I'm looking to upgrade to some Torres Guitar Humbuckers. http://www.torresengineering.com/cusmadpicand.html Anyone have any comments on these and/or Torres in general? My brother built a fretless bass 23 years ago and had them install the pick up's and controls. He was very pleased at the time. I guess the guy retired a few years, then reopened in a new location. Sounds like you're on to something there. The second item sounds very interesting too; makes me think of the 'varitone' control on the Gibson ES-355 guitars (most notably B.B. King's 'Lucille')... again, very interesting. Sounds like it would be a lot more useful than the standard tone control. Makes sure to lets us know how it works out.
