bluefoxicy
I noticed the Valve Junior comes with a very small volume pot, while Bruce's Duo mod comes with a really BIG push-pull pot. Any opinions on picking up a DiMarzio 1.0M pot to replace the volume pot? (Is this a trapezoidal/logarithmic pot or a linear pot? Should volume be trapezoidal?) Recommendations on a replacement pot? ...possibility to get a bigger pot? ;D
m-theory
Never heard of a trapazoidal pot, so I cannot speak to that, but the standard pot is a 1m log, or audio taper. There's no real specific critical need to replace it, other than to upgrade to a better quality pot, perhaps of a larger diameter to offer easier control, and to swap to a 250k or 500k, in order to attenuate some gain at full throttle. If the gain seems right to you, and there are no issues with the current pot, there's really no reason to change it, unless you just feel like it. bluefoxicy
oops. you're right. Taper is the word I'm thinking of. (double bad, if you unroll it it looks like a triangle, not a trapezoid)
