plasticknives
I'm looking to upgrade the nut on my lefty g-400. I would use a TUSQ nut, but the only problem is the E to E spacing on the guitar is exactly 1 3/8", and the slotted tusq nut for a Gibson is 1 7/16" (all other dimensions will work). Is there any other replacement short of slotting my own? I'm looking to get a little better sustain on open strings (I already have a Gotoh bridge and SD pickups). glenn1281733995
All I can suggest is that you contact the staff at www.graphtech.com and get the exact right nut for your 400. www.graphtech.com/contact.htm Hope it works out for you.
RotcanX
The difference between 1 7/16" and 1 3/8" (i.e. 1/32" a side) is not exactly anything to worry about IMO... plus it'll give you a tad more room between the strings. Unless you have really tiny hands.
