Bad Juju
What size are the OEM Dot strings? The Gibson site lists .10s for the Electric Spanish series. However, the Epiphone (cheaper information, also?) does not give as much information for the technical specs. Should I assume that the Epi Dot is a copy of the Gibson 335 that it uses the same size strings? Thanks. - Shaun
charlie brown
10's or above work well on Dot's and any other medium-jumbo fretted instruments. Lighter strings may be easier to bend, but also easier to fret/press out of tune (sharp), too. Heavier strings have a richer tonal range, generally, as well. So, 10's would be a great start. You even might decide, to go up to 11's, later...depending on what style music you play, etc. CB
