I do know that most of the people around here that have them love them. As far as the seymour duncan blackout active humbuckers....haven't tried them but.... I did a search and went to several companies that sell them. The customer reviews looked very impressive. Most everyone that bought them said they had more lows, more highs and a slightly extended mid range. The big plus was that everyone thought they had less hum than other active pickups.
