TWANG
I've got a piece of black/white/black pickguard material I had made some lefthand guard for and it's just sitting around.. so.. since I'm making several pickguards this week.. I thought I'd see if any of you leftys wanted one. any style you like casino sheraton 335.. these would be 20.00 in this quality material..plus shipping, normally. so I'll take 5.00 plus shipping..just for epi forum guys! just my way of saying. rid me of this piece of material.. I'll do all the work.. probably cost you about two bucks to ship it, if that. get yourself a sweet new guard at an absurd price. I hope the mods don't get ticked at me or ban me for this. beg beg to anyone who's paid the normal price.. hey. lefty stuff is few and far between.. I've got this leftover. so I thought. .with all the hassle they have to go through. it would be a nice thing to do. I'd give it away but .. not lately thanks to the economy. tonedeaf1281734100
Do you just want to use it for left handed pick guards? Or is there something I'm missing here about the shape of the material or what not, that only allows left handed pick guards to be made? The reason I ask is I have been shopping (half-heartedly) for a black/white/black right-handed pickguard for my MIK epiphone Casino.
dubstar
"so I'll take 5.00 plus shipping" wait, $5 total, plus shipping? hmmmm...could you do make an elitist broadway / broadway style one for my LH Joe Pass?
TWANG
guard material is only nice on one side. the rear side is flat and plain and not very good looking. so you can't reverse it and have anything nice. You have to make it a certain way. I can build you one, though but not for five bucks! -------------------- on the joe pass. I beleive it will work. they have almost no pup routes.. those and the broadway are cut ver shallow. you'd have to send me a trace so I could be sure to get the pickup spacing right.. I'm not sure either my lp or my sheri would be spaced exactly the same. But.. I make them tight.. sometimes you have to file just a tick off on mine in that area yourself.. this is better than a generic shape because they will cut it large, leaving spaces that look well. sloppy. and you don't want sloppy on a joe pass, for sure. but yep. as bob dylan once intoned, I think it could be very easily done. take a few minutes to cut out a piece of typing paper so that it fits real tight around the first pup and going to the second.. there's a small chance this one would be a very little bit smaller overall. but not enough that anyone could tell by looking. oops I just double checked.. I can't get the sheri broadway shape out of it.. it's already shaped like a 335 casino and doesn't have enough material for the neck pickup hump.. dang. but a 335 shape, it can do. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p312/JERMDADDY/Epiphone%20Archtop/EpiphoneJoePassEmperorIIElectricGui.jpg TWANG
TWANG
of course mine will not have that binding. those cost like a hundred bucks or two! but it will have a nice white line around the edge, clearly visible and looking very nice. dubstar
ah, OK...I'm not really interested in the original JP shape or the 335 style...with the frequensator, I was going for the broadway look, so I'd only really want to go for that pickguard shape... thanks for the gracious offer, however...maybe I'll think about it a bit more... how much to do it if you needed to buy more material?
