Guest alanhindle
Simple question. Just wondered how they do it on an Epi. Can they do a faded finish with poly?

TWANG
poly comes in gloss or satin. you could do a light sanding on a faded finish.. don't go down to the color.. and use gloss over the top and really brighten it up! nitro is dangerous and toxic and costs more due to epa as well as effort and material cost. poly today is very very thin if they do it right and not a bad material to use at all. the ultra violet cured polys are even thinner but I think epi tends to put in on a bit thick on their gloss guitars.. harder to tell on the satin or faded finishes... no depth.
