Frogbass
I have an old Epi bass I bought and want to identify. I've had this for years, played it little, but love the look and groove. It's a neck through assymetrical double-cutaway, 2 metal top pickups with 3-way switch, 5 layer neck-through construction. 4-string with 2/2 headstock. I'm guessing but maple quarter-sawn neck with a rosewood(?) center block and 2 thin (1/64") laminates on each side then maple. No serial number visible anywhere. Some one tell me how to add a picture and I will. I've tried everthing I can think of. RobinTheHood
That is an Epiphone Newport Bass. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they are somewhat collectable.
Frogbass
I found records and pictures online and it is a Newport, MIJ. I'd still like to find out the year it was made and its value. Adding to the difficulty is that I can't find a serial number on it anywhere! Anyone got a clue for me as to S/N location? Thanks to all who reply and try to help.
