jw8830
I recently purchased a new les paul junior. I took the truss rod cover off and even with glasses, can't see what type of tool is needed. Almost looks allen, but nothing will fit. Any ideas? Thank you
Marcelo1281734115
The guitars I have seen have either an allen socket hollowed out into the bolthead or a regular bolt head (that fits into a regular wrench type socket tool). If you hole is tight, then the allen key is likely the one.
Whitmore Willy
JW, Welcome to the forum and happy holidays. Congrats on the guitar. Is it the one with the bolt on neck? If it is like most Epi solid bodies, I believer it is either a 4mm or a 5/32" allen. If it were me, I would try a 4mm, a 5mm and a 5/32. Use the most snug fit. The cost of a few allens compared to screwing up a truss rod is insignificant. By the way, if it is brand new it should have come with one?
