mrjones200x
Simple question and just want to check really which wire on a std epi humbuckler from a LP (Hotch) is the hot and which is the earth? I presume the hot wire is the white one inside and the one wrapped around it is the earth??
animalfarm
Based on my feeble knowledge of pick-up re-wiring, YES you are correct!!!! The standard "2-wire" from the factory is composed of: 1. Inner insulated wire (HOT) 2. outer braided "shield" wire (Earth/ground) All encased in a protective insulated outer cover....
mrjones200x
Cheers. Just wanted to check before soldering as not used the stock pickups for much else. Easy wiring diagram to follow tho, 1 Volume-1 humbuckler!
animalfarm
Yeah, just for "grins" I googled "Pictures of epiphone 2-wire pick-ups", shows your wiring diagram. When doing a quick-look for schematics, it's amazing what shows up when you google "pictures of......(add item)".
