clarkuss
Any good? Looking at one in the red finish. Does anyone have any experience with one or have the specs. Mainly trying to find out if the neck is fitted or bolt on. I've had a few bad chinese guitars but I'm willing to keep trying them until I find one I like and the look of this is enough to tempt me. duane v
I've played one and it's actually not half bad, especially for the price. I'm holding out and praying for a new American made Olympic towards Q4[-o<
clarkuss
Yeah I like the look of it. Probably plays better than my ET 278. I need to do some work on that one... new machine heads, pick ups.. electrics even. I fancy an olympic double at heart but with an elitist casino and a ricky just arrived I can't justify eating pasta for another month!!
duane v
The ET-275 has small frets that I just couldn't deal with. I'm a bender so small shallow frets aren't conducive to my style of playing. I hand my ET re-fretted with Mt Everest frets, and I love the way it plays now. The only short coming with my ET is lack of that extra 22nd fret. However I like that it weighs quite a bit... you wouldn't think so by looking at it, but it's heavier than both my Gibby SG's
duane v
Hi Clarkuss' date=' IMO it has a set neck, but never played one, 'cause they aren't in stock at my favourite dealer more info about this guit http://www.thomann.de/gb/search.html?gf=alternative_design_guitars&bf=epiphone&oa=pra Peter[/quote'] You're correct..... clarkuss
Thanks for the link! Saw one on ebay for 300-350 but that's much cheaper and free shipping. Don't know how long Thomann take when they don't have something in stock though. Will have to drop them an email. Harmony Central states it's a set neck! RE: ET guitars... mine weighs a ton as well! I'm more of a rythmer with average hands so the look of it is enough for me!
intellivised
I have an alpine white on this one and actually used it at a medium/large venue show. The guitar plays really nice. Set neck. The electronics are chintzy and need to be replaced ASAP. I'm ordering everything tomorrow and next week.
