So Ive only recently come across the masterbilts and fancied having a shot, and my local store would probably part ex on my CPX5. Went down there today and bumped into (literally) a dude in an Epi t shirt leaving as I went in. - turns out he was the gibson rep - all stores in UK are having to re apply to become distributors. Anyway I asked the techs about the aj500 - they had never heard of them and called the rep who said, "its really close to a gibson - a corker of a guitar, we'll get one for him to try in 6 months>" WTF? Also sounds like the Sunburst are hard to come by? so whats happening across the pond guys - are they appearing in your stores or am i waiting for new ones to be made? dying to hear one. Any youtube offerings? come on dont be shy...... store said they'd part ex as well. potentially all good - but how many times in 6 months you gonna change your mind..... emmonsh Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 dont think the sunburst is available anymore. i just picked up a 2007 aj5oom sunburst for 280 off of agf forums. i put a new saddle on[$10] and had to cut the b string on the nut a little[amazing that they let this go from the showroom] but now plays great and sounds great too.
