Rickstar123 Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 hi ive just recently bought my first epiphone which is a black beauty. i love the guitar but ive been thinking about upgrading the pickups i was wondering what ones with go well with the guitar. i ve been looking at the seymour duncan alnico pro II's would these work well? also how do i match the middle pickup? Ricochet Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 The A2Ps are excellent replacements PUs. But really it depends on your musical taste if they would work for you. I'd say good for blues and rock but def. not metal. The middle PU can be whatever you want, keep the output the same tho. Keep in mind that if you want to dabble with any kind of "in and out of phase/series/split"-switcheroo, you will get better results if PUs are the same or similar(matched).
