Simple (silly) question...will this fit?

Q: Will the pickguard from a Casino fit on a standard Dot? What' I'm looking at is the pickguard on this guitar; http://cgi.ebay.com/Epiphone-ES-335-Electric-Guitar-Black_W0QQitemZ320351594975QQihZ011QQcategoryZ33037QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I like the shape of that better, and if it'll fit (even if I have to mod it a bit with a dremel/hand file) I'd like to swap one on my Dot. Of course, I'd need one in black, not white.... 8-[

Thanks in advance!

Brian

No, it will not fit. Look at the size of the area above the neck pickup. I had a pickguard

custom made for my Dot Studio - I sent a tracing to the maker for proper fit because

there can even be minor differences in humbucker mounting rings. Mine is the short 335

style and I agree that it's better looking than the Epi Dot/Sheraton shape.

Hmmmm...good point. I was looking more at the space between the pickups, not above them.

Looks like I'll be making a custom one myself... 5 ply (b/w/b/w/B) pickguard blanks don't run too much. And if I get amitious I can cut a matching 5 ply TRC.

Thanks Ron. :D
