suprstar
I recently got a vj off craigslist for cheap, to teach myself about amp modding without risking a lot of $$.. I have successfully applied a few simple mods so far, including the JP1 mod. I LOVE the new tone with that jp1 jumper cut! I considered putting it on a switch so I can go back and forth, and it made me wonder: Could you wire a potentiometer in there to give you sort of a continuous tone control? A pot is simply a dial that gives variable resistance from 100% open to 100% closed, correct? I understand a switch is no prob, but I'm not sure how caps and resistors (pot) are going to react together in the same circuit.. TIA, ss

Eracer_Team
All the modd'ers have moved to www.sewatt.com.. yes put the JP1 on a switch.. its not the resistance that's doing the work but the cap. You'll need a schematic to know what you're really doing
