carverman
If you were to try a frequensator on an better guitar with a solid top you would probably be able to hear more of the differences. You would hear more of a diff replacing the bridge (although the stock bridge has a single foot which is cool in itself) Well, I dunno. My Epi Broadway Elitist has a solid carved spruce top and had the frequensator on it. I took it off and put my own on and I like it better tone wise, and it has a ebony bridge. As far as the Emp IIs go with the laminated (plywood) top..nothing wrong with that either. The Gibson ES-335 is a formed plywood top..so is the Epi Sheraton and so is the Gibson ES-175. I played one at the Memphis factory showroom, and it had an equisite tone as well as t he better styled and more solid tp. The only thing that set me back was the $4200US price for an all natural/flamed maple top/sides and back.
