Swoop
Should be good. I'm a fan of Seymour Duncans. I have Alnico II Pros in my Les Paul and they sound fantastic.
AlanH
Hi EppiStrat, I've just fitted the SD hot rodded set to my Epi LP standard and have posted a link to my youtube comparison video a few threads below this one: http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12831 Please have a look at the video and post your comments on it. Guest
Got a SD SH-2nJazz neck and SD SH-4 JB bridge in my Emperor II I am very very pleased with them. 20 years since I owned a LP and that was stock, I am sure you will be happy with that choice. [/quote'] The pairing seems to suit jazz and metal styles particularly well because of their clarity. On first impression after the switch I was a bit worried I'd lost some of the depth of tone compared to the stock Epi pups. However, having had more time to get to know them, I'm learning to roll off the volume and tone knobs for these kinds of sounds when I don't want too much gain/harshness. With the old pups I always dialed 10s across the board and felt I had nowhere else to go. Alan
