theteenagegiant
I have a 2002 (I think) Epiphone Les Paul Studio in red wine with gold hardware and on the back of the headstock there is a silk-screened logo that says 'Limited Edition Epiphone Custom Shop'. What is the signifigance of this? Is it just the gold hardware? Or something else? Any help much appreciated.:)
theteenagegiant
OK cool. When I bought it I wouldn't have paid any extra for the supposed 'Custom Shop', because it wasn't advertised on Trademe as Limeited Edition and I got a really good deal on it anyway. Thanks. pohatu771
The Custom Shop decal is because of the finish and hardware. Normally they're solid colours or faded with chrome hardware and open coil pickups.
theteenagegiant
But my studio is a solid colour and does have open coil pickups. So if I had bought it brand new I would have been paying extra for gold hardware which actually wears faster than chrome?
