K.E.B.1281734147
Will it make any difference using a 5Y3GT vs a GZ34 in a 5F2a clone? I have a standby switch installed.
m-theory
That amp is supposed to have a 5y3gt from what my eyes see, so swapping to that from a gz34 would be what the amp wants to see anyway.
K.E.B.1281734147
That's what I thought. The GZ34 is what the amp builder put in it. The label he affixed to the inside of the cabinet says 5Y3GT. I'm just wondering if there will be any noticeable difference. from his website... "The traditional tube compliment is 1 5Y3GT, 1 6V6GT, and 1 12AX7 and I offer JJ sets of 1 GZ34, 1 6V6GT, and 1 12AX7 as current production tubes."
