Alright well the Casino's not quite finished with it's transformation (getting a black pickguard at some point very soon), but I've been talking a lot about this new amp so I guess I'll show it off:

Sorry for the crappy grainy image, I hope to get a new camera soon...but that 66 Wilshire is calling me...

Thanks everyone! I need a proper camera to take these kinds of pics...hopefully sometime soon I'll take some in natural sunlight.

The Vox is phenomenal! I got the 8" combo and the 12" cab at the same time. Even though the head and cab appealed to me because of its sound and volume, the 10" combo made more since as a pick up and go type of jam/practice amp. Luckily, I waited a week to decide and the AC4TVmini came into the store and the AC4TV8 went clearance! I got the 8" combo for $40 less than the head, and got the cab used, and ended up getting two possible options for nearly the price of the 10" combo. They are the same amp though...another 12ax7 and EL84 amp. This one sounds phenomenal with its tone knob giving it a lot of that Voxy chime. I ended up putting a 5157 preamp tube in that came out of my friend's Blackstar, and a Mullard EL84 out of a 6 month old Epi VJ. It sounds fantastic, I can't wait to hear what it sounds like when the 12" Celestion in the cab is all broken in.

phoatu, they are the stock Epi's, kind of. I had to cut off the chrome covers because my solder gun doesn't get hot enough, and then I dug in and took the tape out and took about 30 windings off of each pickup (scary). I wanted to lower the output a bit because I wanted to get a clearer sound out of them. I repotted them (also scary but kind of cool) and put the plastic covers on with the spacers (that was kind of fun, the spacers had to be sanded wayyyyyy down to fit, and I decided to go the ES330L route and sand the neck spacer to fit cleanly under the cover and keep the bridge spacer wide. It'll look really cool if I ever get the pickguard I ordered over a month ago).

The sound is much clearer and balanced, I can hear every string and nothing gets blown out of the mix. I don't know how much of it is due to the plastic and how much is due to the unwinding because I didn't A/B with the plastic like I was going to, but I think whatever it was it makes this guitar sing.
