deflepfan
The wiring of a G-400, with the wire running from the 3-way to the jack, should have a covered wire and a ground wire in it, correct? And if so, both wires are soldered at the 3-way, and the covered sheilded wire to the tip and ground to the sleeve of the jack, correct? Trying to talk someone through a fix, and want to make sure I know what I'm talking about before I screw him up. FYI: currently there is no ground at the jack.:) Thanks, Sheila
Sjael
Yes. Hot wire to the tip, ground wire to the sleeve. The shielding on the hot wire should also be grounded at either end.
