What Pete said...

And then make sure it really, really fits. I bought a TKL case at GC for my Casino that they promised would fit. I didn't bring the Casino with me, so I took their word for it. I got it home and it did fit around the edges and the case closed nicely. However, I noticed that the body of the guitar was not supported underneath it. Only the neck supported the guitaron the curved rest in the case. I was a little ticked about this too, because I originally wante an Epi case to go with my Epi. But they didn't have it in stock at my local store.

I took the TKL back and he tried to sell me an SKB case. He even put a Gibson 335 in it to show me it fit. HOWEVER, in this case the guitar actually was resing on its headstock AND nothing else. I said, I want an EPI case, so he ordered it off their own website. It arrived in only 3 days and fits perfectly.

Side note - It doesn't stink either. I know others have complained about smells. There is no odor coming from it. Then again, my wife says, I don't smell good. I'm pretty sure she's referring to my sense of smell. [confused]

Interesting about the TKL case, because my Epi case (which has the underbody support) is made by TKL.....

I heard that too. I should mention the TKL case was actually designed for an Ibanez artsomething or other. Which would explain why the Epi didn't fit. The bottom part where the body goes had a very small amount of padding. Unlike the Epi case which is very substantial.

I also have a TKL case for my Epi EJ200 and it fits perfectly. My local GC must not like to stock Epi cases, becasue they never have them in stock; at least for my Casino and EJ. And when you're already there, it's easier to take home what they have vs. ordering on line and have to pay for shipping.
