nbtel
You are probably familiar with Jim Triggs, he used to work for the Gibson Custom Shop and primarily made archtops and mandolins. Iam currently having Jim and his Son Ryan make me an 18" noncut blonde D'Angelico New Yorker with parallel bracing,German/European spruce and 3" depth with a traditional style pickguard except white mother of pearl. Should be quite a box when she is done. I have never had a guitar made for me but what the hell. I will keep you posted and I know.................. pictures pictures pictures. Pickax
I was over at Jim's shop this summer and he had a variety of Guitar projects underway. Mandolins will start up in the fall. Jim's work is outstanding and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer fellow. Here is a back that will go on a carved archtop
Daryl M
Gosh, I haven't seen Jim in years. Glad to know he's still out there doing his thing. Post some pics when you get it.
