MrSaint Posted October 14, 2010 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Hi Ok, so I have this humidifier from Bionaire called "Clear-Mist". I need it operational during the winter (for the guitars). Problem is that it somehow has stopped working. Light works, so there is power. It just refuses to heat up the water somehow. I have cleaned it, opened it up and cleaned the inside etc. Still no response from it. It worked perfectly last winter. So, is there anyone who knows what to check on it? Versatile Posted October 14, 2010 Share Posted October 14, 2010 May I suggest a DIY approach if you have overly dry conditions in winter. Purchase a hygrometer (some house barometers have them inbuilt) to measure humidity level, bearing in mind humidity readings are proportional to temperature. If your store has too low a humidity then a bowl of water or a damp cloth can remedy this. As a starting figure something like 50-60% relative humidity seems to be ok.
