Markus78
It seems that next saturday I will have very own Gibson Explorer 76. I am so excited! Its tailpiece is the orginal Stop Bar and Tune-o-matic bridge. Does anyone know if I put Kahlers hybrid tremolo on it (it seems to fit right at Stop Bar screws), do i have to make some modifacations to the body (drilling work for exsample) or does it slip right on without any modification work? I would be greatful if someone could answer that.
dem00n
The The Kahler 7200 fits on les paul guitars. You dont need to drill it should fit in the les paul. Also to be honest i dont recommend it unless you put a locking nut on the les paul.
cabba2203
While the top stud mount Kahler does not require full body routing like a Floyd or Fender trem (or standard Kahler), it still has a top route for the small cam springs under the cam, It's about an inch or so in size, about like a lego block. Markus78
Thanks for answers. :) I read something about Stetsbar tremolo, it fits right on at studs and there is no need to do any kind of modifications to guitars body. But on the other hand it seems like it is not designed for divebombing stuff , i don't know... I believe that trem doesn't serve entirely what I am looking for . So maybe it is better to do this way, I will order stud mount Kahler with locking nuts and let the local luthier do the installation at both ends. It cost some money, but it might be the safetiest way to get things right.
