glennc
Hello, Just a quick question. In my limited experience the ES-175's have been all maple. I saw a maple top with mahogany sides and neck. Is that unusual or common. Was that considered a down-grade from the all maple? Thanks for any info. glennc
Djangorocks
As I understood mahogany is harder to laminate and more time-consuming, thus more expensive. My black 1990 175 has mahogany sides and back. The natural with mahogany sides and back are rare and sought-after

Hello Californiaman, I've never even seen a white one. It must be stunning. Was it done with gold hardware? glennc
Djangorocks
I almost bought a white one 3 weeks ago, here on the Vintagebeurs Veenendaal. First time I saw one, looked really cool but not for jazz, more for rock'nroll Gold hardware

glennc
Howdy, Wish someone would post a picture of the white with Gold. I never realized how beautiful the black was until I say it in that 175 photo thread. I need one of each!!! glennc
