So am I stupid or what?

Surfaday,

You really did the right thing!!! =D> Just a follow up to an old post. I had a similar "test my integrity" back in Dec 2010. Ordered & received a beautiful Epiphone Casino Elitist from a mail order dealer. Use to purchase only from our local independent dealer (till the owner must of went off his meds or something and blew up at me in his store about a question on a M.I.C. vs M.I.I. Epi EJ-160E). Haven't been back and won't. His loss ($10K in stuff since). [flapper] to you and your attitude buddy.

My order came in just great. Love the guitar. 3 days later, my order came in AGAIN. Another Casino and some accessories. 1st thought, wrong one however, was Yippeee I can sell this and not pay anything for my new guitar. Then right after that thought passed, NO YOU GOT TO SEND IT BACK. I then thought, well at least I can make sure I keep the best of the two Casino's. Opened it up and it was a beauty too. Upon inspection, I just happened to glance at the S/N of the new, free guitar, and I kid you not. The S/N ended in 666. To those that believe in the good book, as I am one, the mark of the beast. I thought, "What the Hell" and knew even more that my decision to send back was the right one. Kept the 1st one. Wrote the company VP of operation, and as I suspected from not seeing any paperwork showing on my online orders, I was told when they called me no records at all of the shipment. It was free and clear. They thanked me for being honest & doing the "right thing" and gave me a $100 gift cert. for saving them $1900.00. I hadn't expected or wanted anything but I does reinforce with a good feeling do what is right.

Yeah, I could have kept it, but I just can't do that kind of thing unless I would have tried to correct the problem and they would have argued with me. Have had that happen before on transactions and being given WAY too much change back with large bills.

Call me stupid, but doing right is ALWAYS the best way to fly. 666 s/n or not!!!
